Prospect Park: |
In November 1997 Prospect Park only existed as a concept. Michael and Marc hastiliy made a rough 4-track recording of a song - based on a bassline and string riff that Michael had come up with - and sent the tape off to the NME for the 1998 Unsigned Band Competition just reching the deadline. The song was Cathode Ray Gun. After some weeks had passed it was assumed that the demo tape was unsuccessful, then Marc suddenly got a phone call saying that Prospect Park were one of ten bands who had been chosen out of about two and a half thousand and that they were on the bill at London Dingwalls in two weeks. |
